There's a bit of correlation, but not as much as one would think. You'd have to figure out a way to compare across games.
12% of all tracked players beat Bayonetta on the highest difficulty setting, but the game is much harder than that would suggest - I think thish as osmehting to do with the fact that Bayonetta is bought primarily by die-hards.
Compare to Master Ninja Mode in Ninja Gaiden II, which is beaten by less than 1% of tracked players of that game. As a more popular game, its stats may be somewhat.... skewed.
