I can understand how someone wouldn't like Shadow of the Colossus, but none of the reasons I've heard so far seem like particularly good ones.

SotC, I think, has to be approached less as just a game and more as a complete experience. I've had more fun playing other games, but as a dramatic presentation, almost nothing else comes close. SotC is the most compelling argument so far for games being a valid form of art.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about the controls, but I really liked them. The jump-grab mechanism was really well done. When I finished the game, I went back to Zelda: Twilight Princess and I felt completely limited by comparison.

And SotC is worth playing for the story alone. It's simple, but the presentation makes it unforgettable.
