I just realized that jrpgs have not been that bad this generation. Here is the list of jrpgs that have received good reception from gamers (not critics)
Good Jrpgs:
Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Demon's Soul, Disgaea 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Resonance of Fate (from the people who have imported it and by the reception it is getting from Japan), White Knight Chronicles (people from many different forums have been really loving this game), Tales of Graces (again, from the people who have imported it and by the reception its getting from Japan) and Rune Factory Frontier.
Here is the list of jrpgs that received bad reception from gamers (not critics)
Bad Jrpgs:
Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Magna Carta 2, Cross Edge, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, Tales of Symphonia 2 and Dragon Quest Swords.
So pretty much half of the jrpgs that have been released have been received positively by gamers while the other half has been received negitively. Not the best gen for jrpgs but not nearly as bad as people have made it out to be.
Note: I made this list based of the overall reception these games have received from gamers. Some of you may have loved the games that is under "bad" and may have hated the games that is under "good", but again, I made this list based off of the overall reception from gamers (not just yours).
