You are a bit later for Halo 1. Better wait for Halo Reach. Mass effect is great. Lost Odyssey only if you like JRPGs. Spot your eyes on Risen too. But only if they fix the bugs for US release.
Check some XBLA games also. Splosion Man, Trials HD, Shadow Complex and Castle Crashers are awesome games!!!
