How so? If they've made orders for 2M new consoles to fill shelves, that still counts as sold for Sony.

Well, the 'gap' between VGC numbers and PS3 shipments have been quite large for quite some time If I'm correct. Also, your assuming that Sony use financial transactions to count sales, just like Im assuming they use shipments. Don't think anyone knows for sure.

@ Superchunk - Very rarely if at all are there 'city' specific consoles, and even if this is only in the US - that's still a big market and would make a big difference.

So, doesn't really 'confirm' like I said, but it makes the PS3 being undertracked more likely.
