To be fair, authentic mexican is about 5 times as expensive.

Where I live, we have a Taco Bell and a Mexican restaurant that serves authentic food right beside each other.

5 times as expensive?  Shit.  Well, now I can see the appeal where you live.

But the authentic food probably has over 5 times the nutrition, and no genetically modified ingredients.

Oh yeah, in Ohio mexican food is about as expensive as any other food... and really not that great.  At least compaired to Nevada.

There's something wrong with the cheese and they usually use ground beef anyway...  and avoid the picadegallo and vegetables at most places.

It's less real mexican food and more... higher class Taco Bell food.  At least the places I ate back in Ohio.

And yes, I live in Ohio.

Most of what we have where I live is anywhere from $6-$10 for an entree. The local Mexican restaurant, as great as it is, is impossible to dine at unless you pay $20 for two people. Having said that, they do have lunch specials, but theres no way I can get there for those.

Of course, we do have Chipotles which is a swankier Taco Bell. Nevertheless, I'd assume that the closer to the border, the better quality Mexican food you get.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
