I'm still working on Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls. Both are good, but I'm not sure if you can get Demon's Souls really on the cheap. Perhaps on ebay or some such. About the main issue I have with VC is how they grade the missions. By how many turns you take to complete it. You get more experience points and money for killing more of certain enemies, but that or how many of your people survive have no influence on the grade. If you want a good grade, you have to kinda rush through some missions instead of taking things more tactically, but still quite enjoyable.
Ratchet and Clank does look somewhat amusing, but I've never played any earlier ones, so I dunno about the general quality of them, but hope you have fun.
