So I've been working on joining the military, and yesterday almost made it official that I'm doing the Army.

And for my specific job, I'll be getting a HUGE signing bonus. Combine that with the good money I'll be making, and I'm going to be building a new PC when I get to it. And one of the most epic things I'm doing = FIVE MONITOR SETUP. I'll need a custom desk to house this setup, and all my monitors will be mounted on the wall behind the desk. I plan to have three of those monitors operate as one single monitor (for ultra-widescreen gameplay), and the other two will be separate. I'll likely have the absolute top-of-the-line videocard (with A LOT of RAM) to run the three-as-one monitors, then another separate one (no SLI/Crossfire - they're going to run individually) to run my other two monitors. I'm thinking all five will be 1080p, with the three for ultra-wide gameplay being 22" and the two others being 24".

At the same time, I may just make these two separate systems at the same desk - one system for the 3 gaming monitors, the other for the 2 non-gaming. This will give me full control over all monitors at any given time. I'll just run the audio into an audio controller and out into one set of speakers.

I may also have that second PC running a large touchscreen monitor mounted to the side on a swivel mount.

I am insane, I know. But I'm doing it.
