The Wii came up in a completely uninspiring discussion about the iPad. Both devices were derided as devices which sold on the sizzle rather than the steak, but Dvorak asserted that the Wii had something going for it (some 'steak,' I guess) because of the new interface and because of it's appeal to children.
Pretty boring show. I wouldn't have bothered to listen to it if I weren't home sick today. The discussion on the MacMillan/Amazon spat was the most interesting part. Listening to uber-nerds predict that the iPad will fail just like the Wii shoud have failed gives me more confidence in the iPad, actually.
"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
