A couple of guys of the west who's love for a particular console is obvious, know it of course better than Koei-tecmo itself. How surprising...

Non-nintendo game-like games just don't sell as well on the Wii as what they could do on any of the other consoles, like the president of Enterbrain said (that guy is god). Look at the sales of low-budget JRPGs like MagnaCarta II, Arc Rise Fantasia or Atelier Rorona and compare them for an instance? What conclussion do you take from this? Now compare the sales of the Tales of games that they have released for the PS3, 360 and Wii, and tell me what you see.

The funny thing is that Graces has been the most marketed Tales of game in years and not a port at all.

Well, I see you comparing a new IP (ARF) to sequels (Atelier, Magna Carta).  Pick a niche RPG sequel on Wii (like Shiren 3) and it actually did comparably.  I also see a Tales game that launched against FFXIII only managing to match what a low budget half-sequel managed on the same platform already a year back.  Disappointing yeah, but understandable in hindsight.

Would you also say "game-like games" underperform on DS?  I mean Graces outsold Hearts.  And your god (the batshit CEO of Enterbrain) also said DQIX underperformed.  You're in full agreement there?

Koei Tecmo itself expected a million from Gundam Musou (on just PS3) and expects the same from Hokuto Musou (Ps3/360 multi).   Given that, I don't think anyone can really be surprised Sengoku Musou 3 didn't meet their expectations either, they have something of a track record to uphold...
