Huge lol at the Home producer talking about bad performance to someone, but then again, I guess she would be the one to know. heyooooooo, I'll he here all week!

Anyways, this comic couldn't sum it up any better.

Oh the surprise they get when they realize they'll be playing broken games and walking into a corner for eight hours or a bitchy person like me asking them to reproduce a 1/100 bug and then document the repro steps.

-edit-

And no disrespect against testers, it's a grueling job that I could never do and I couldn't have more respect for them, just this show is silly because...it just is.  That comic highlights it perfectly.

People seem to have this crazy fantasy of testers being these crazy awesome people that play games all day and do crazy things like in Grandma's Boy, when it's not really that.  It's low pay, crap hours, and playing broken games which is pretty difficult.  Don't get me wrong, the testers I know love their job, it's just it's not what you see in things like the trailer above, it's more like what's in that comic.

i don't think any of them are doing the show for the job anyway. Its the "being on TV"(sort of) part that made them apply.

I'm actually sure all those people are people that actually applied to Sony for a QA position.  They're all probably people that they wouldn't mind hiring and fit one or more of the following: 1) gamer stereotype, 2) female, or 3) charismatic.

They may not be the best, but meh.
