Will Metroid Other M be the Metroid to sell to mainstream gamers?

But if that's the case, and knowing that each Metroid Prime sold 1-2 mill (the first Prime even 2.8 mill), then why even ask the question in the OP: "will Metroid Other M be the Metroid to sell to mainstream?"

Obviously he means will it sell bigger than that. It's a relative term. I would say the other Metroids border on mainstream, but they're not that mainstream. Mainstream wouldn't mean the demographic that buys Call of Duty in particular though, it could sell to completely different people and still be 'mainstream'.

Ok I understand then.

So bottom line is that the OP made it complicated by his choice of words. He could have named the thread "will Metroid Other M be the most successful Metroid?" or "will Metroid Other M be a big hit?" lol.

I clarified this in the last page, but you must have missed it. I edited the OP to include my definition of "mainstream" and how it relates to this thread.
