Zelda is not a role-playing game at all.

As much of 'RPG' as Folklore and half of the list. In fact Zelda is derivative from such games as Ultima (have been comfirmed by Miyamoto himself), which serves as inspiration for first jRPGs as well as Wizardry.

Zelda's generally classified as an adventure game, due to the static (not dynamic) character building.  Of course, the same holds true for stuff like LandStalker, Beyond Oasis, Alundra, Rocket Slime, Okami or (on this list even) Crystal Bearers.

If Zelda's not counted, Crystal Bearers can't be either.  They're either both adventure games, or both action RPGs.
