No it can recognize a lot more then that....It's probably your motherboard capping it.


My motherboard actually supports up to 16 GB of ram. I must have the home basic version of Windows 7, since I seem to be maxing out at 8 GB right now. Besides, it will be a while before I ever fill up that much RAM at one time anyway.
