Hopefully they have a division just focusing on the net code this time around. The engine is fine but the net code is crap, it needs to be completely rewritten and added dedicated servers. Both Gears 1 and 2 are really great games with really good online, but because of the netcode it becomes a lag fest. Also shotgun is ridiculous, akimbo model is balanced in comparison.
