if the psp2 and nintendo's next handheld comes out this year, which 1 u buy

It really depends on what the PSP2 will offer. If it has the following then it shall become a must buy:

Improved Graphics
Built In Memory
Better analogue stick
Two Analogue sticks
Good Design
Awesome PSP2 games

I'm happy with my DS so the only way the DS2 will become a must buy is if it has the following:

Improved Graphics
Better Games
