Now hold the Hell up Not only are you ignoring the fact that the Temple of the Ocean King was the most-cited flaw in that game You're ignoring the fact that each runthrough can be played differently, that you can skip half of the damn thing once you get halfway through the game, you're ignoring the building up nature of puzzle-solving in the dungeon But you're judging the entire series based on what many (not myself but many, ask Naz) consider to be one of the worst - if not the worst - games in the series, when no other game in said series has a repeating dungeon? Do you see how that doesn't make sense? |
I know each runthrough can be played differently, but I still think that the Temple of the Ocean King itself was a horrible, horrible idea that should've been nipped in the bud the first time someone proposed putting it in the game. That being said, a lot of people gave this game a 9+ score, which while just about everything else in the game is good (touch controls, puzzle solving), I still don't think the game deserves that kind of score, and I'll stand by my point that if this were a new IP, it would've gotten nailed much harder for it.
I didn't actually vote in the poll, I just said Zelda, because so far this is my only experience with this franchise. All the other options, I haven't played iterations of, or haven't played one that I thought was overrated. So yeah, I should've put a caveat on that I guess.
On a slightly unrelated note, is there anything similar in Spirit Tracks? If not, I'll definitely pick it up.
