Eh, while I'm not saying unrealistic shooters aren't tactical, I really love it when a game is realistic enough so I can use common sense knowledge to make my decisions. That's why I love Total War, since I know that no matter how powerful a unit may be, it can't charge through a wall of spears head on. That's why I love Bad Company 1 and the beta for 2, since I know a guy can't use some insane powerup to jump high up in the air, one shot kill me, etc. |
Exactly the oposite for me.
The thought of war does not attract me 1 bit. But boosting myself in the air and firing a spartan laser on a flying banshee is just pure fun. In COD and BF games I find that people just play like pussies...snipe from far, hide behind walls, crouch. There is nothing wrong with that...but I find that boring and just don't have the patience to play like that myself.
No wonder screen watching is such a big issue when people play COD in the same room...lol. Cause if you look at their screen and see where they are, their whole strategy is useless. In Halo for example I don't care if you know where I am...I am on the fuckin' attack so find me and come get some if you got balls! :)
