As long as they focus the next game more on exploration and having more varied monsters, I think it will be.  Part of what made the first two DQM games so good was they were simply like the actual Dragon Quest games, focusing on exploration, gameplay and etc.  DQM Joker, while still good, seemed to lose some of that because it focused everything on just leveling the monsters and exploring 7 small islands.  After you explored those 7 islands, which only took about 30-40 hours at most (even with trying to take your time), the rest of the game just turned into grinding.  Which in and of itself wasn't entirely bad because I do think the fusion system introduced in Joker was fantastic, but Joker still could have been much more.

What I'm hoping is, Joker 2 can combine all of what made the first games great (exploration, the characters, the 'quest') with the stuff that made Joker 1 great (the fusion system, the enhanced graphics, the non-random battle system).
