Ugh, so much misinformation!

  • Team Ninja is just there in a support capacity.  All the scenario and game design work is being done by Sakamoto's R&D group (SPD1, ie: the real Metroid team).  It's like how EAD worked with Argonaut on Star Fox and Stunt Race FX on SNES, they're basically codemonkeys.
  • So if they are in there for support, then why even mention them. In fact, I'm pretty sure you are legally allowed to not list that type of outsourcing as a credit, especially listing it first as developer. Additionally, I don't know if you've seen the trailer (I'm sure you have), but everything about it screams Team Ninja, NOT Nintendo. It is the most un-nintendo game I've seen in a long time.
  • Also, Zelda will undoubtedly be Nintendo's big November/December game.  If we don't get it this year, we won't get it anywhere and we probably won't get it on Wii (bumped to Wii 2).
  • Earlier there was a thread made showing all the confirmed titles. Zelda was not on the US/EU lists, only Japan.
  • Pokemon is Generation 5 on DSi, developed by Game Freak.  It's the next "real" Pokemon for this year, though we're also getting the 3rd Ranger game in March.
  • You mean heartgold and soulsilver? I haven't seen any other pokemon game be confirmed for this year.
  • We haven't seen Kirby Wii since it was a GameCube game, who knows what it looks like now?  It's the most likely candidate for the rumored Nintendo Dream game though, so we might find out in 2 more weeks...

  • Nintendo made a big deal out of partnering with Argonaut back in the day too, even though they did all the game design work for those games inhouse.   This isn't something new, hell SPD1 always partners with Intelligent Systems on the WarioWare games in a similar fashion.  Go read the 1up interviews, this is Sakamoto's game.  This is the first "real" Metroid sequel since Fusion.
  • The IR release lists aren't final and the US/EU lists weren't even updated at all.  Hell, they're still using the old "Monado" title for Xenoblade in those lists. Predicting Zelda's date off that is setting yourself up for failure.
  • No, not HG/SS.  The next installment, Generation 5.  Coming to DSi in Japan this year (everywhere else likely 2011 though).  Check any of the bigger Pokemon sites, it's everywhere.
