I just started 3D PC gaming (so 22" screen). I find it rather cool.

I can understand however that you don't want this for consoles. A few things:

_Computing power... you essentially have to output the video feed twice... so you need 2x the computing power (even a little more) (this is also why I think the PS3 3D claims are just commercial propaganda).

_Setup cost (need a 3D screen... you have a 250€ 22"... but that is a computer screen)

_Lack of glaces for bystanders and cost for local multiplayer.

_Incompability with motion controls and pointing devices. (it may be 3D, but it's fake, the screen outputs 2 images so which one are you pointing at?)

_ Motion sickness (I don't have it but others do)

Having said that, I think 3D gaming will pick up, at least in PCs. And for consoles? well that will depends on 3D movies adoption, and not before.
