If they can make a portable device that is simply a super-sized version of an existing portable device with not a great deal more functionality, but considerably less portability; and they can price it significantly higher than the existing device; and they can generate a crap load of free advertising (tech media hype); and they can get people to buy it in sufficient quantities to make a tidy profit from it then that IS genius.
I guess the only remaining unknown is whether the sales will happen. I think there is a big enough crowd that love iStuff for Apple to do well with this device.
I'm just waiting for the iDildo that plays porno music while you "play"; now that would be genius.
