My above examples were iPad vs. iPhone/iPod Touch, not iPad vs. laptop

There's not a lot the iPad does better than than the iPhone/iPod Touch that warrants that much extra money ontop of *another* monthly 3G charge.

And yeah, I only just heard about the Courier today but it already sounds pretty awesome.  Hopefully it gets made and it isn't stupid expensive.

Also, I know the iPad doesn't support Adobe Flash, what about Adobe Acrobat or PDF files in general?  That's another pretty major thing.

Well its kind of hard to classify the device as it kind of crosses over between the two. Its not a PC and its not a small portable pocket device... Im personally more interested in courier as they have multiple PC manufacturers working on it. I think they have HP as their main partner and they have been brilliant as of late in terms of product implementation. For that size I would prefer something that can multitask and handle HDMI out along with flash support. Hell it would be pretty fun to play Civilization IV on my lunch break, I wish they would release Civ 5 with that save game cloud service so I can keep playing no matter the PC im on. I would probably buy a courier just to play Civ, im that much of a whore for that game!

Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?
