Its to late. I'm gonna give my money to the 100 other things thats coming out this year and this is from a big GTA fan.

lol I never will understand this ridiculous stand people have.

"ooh it's too late"

If GTA is a favourite of yours, and some great content is coming out for it, but you're putting it aside clearly because they neglected to give it to the PS3 straight away, you're cutting your nose of to spite your face.

Your loss.

*sigh* some people just like to jump the gun so quickly that they miss the simplest answers

With all the hype coming out of Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, God of War III, etc, do you think anyone's really going to prioritize a re-release?

I jumped the gun because I know who I'm talking to. and he was a big fan of GTA. So yeah I expect a big fan of GTA to put this at the top of their list.

If he's a big GTA fan he most likely bought GTA IV already, just like I'm sure you assumed too. Now that we're on the same page, I hope you also don't think he's going to pay full price for a rerelease of an old game with the only incentive being year old DLC. Especially when there are entirely new games?

New game>DLC

Except it isn't a rerelease of an old game, if you knew anything about it you'd know it's both DLC's on it's own disc. That is likely NOT to retail around the same price as a full priced game. Go do your research.

IDK how much the usual game cost in England, but I will not pay (assuming the pound still is twice as much as a dollar) 60 fucking dollars for 2 DLC.

Akvod, I don't care what you want to spend your money on.

£40 is the normal price of a retail game here, so it'll be maybe $40 in the US.

And it's not just any DLC, it's the best DLC to come out this gen and they last a fair few hours.

If 40 pounds is the normal price of a retail game, it should translate to 60 dollars here (the normal price of a retail in game in the US). That's why you guys were pissed at MW2 being charged 60 pounds right?

Anyway, it's guaranteed that England is getting ripped off, as they're charging the usual retail price of a game for 2 DLC.

It's very arare any game is more than £40. Wherever you look, GTA DLC is less than £30. I saw it for £25 new in GAME the other day

50 dollars is still not worth it.

And again, it's not just price, but the ammount of time that has elapsed.

Look, you probably actually look at sales number like me. Please tell me how a video game fares when they are timed exclusive? I'm thinking Bio Shock (which was at least a full game, unlike the DLC that Liberty City stories is going to be).

Seece, lets just think common fucking sense. You'll agree that advertising and hype will raise the demand for a game right? And you acknowledge that people have a limited income or capability to buy games right (lets say I have 80 dollars of disposable income per month). So if a person is faced with either buying this DLC pack, or the games that have been on the Hot Topics page, hyped up, advertised for on the bowl, and all your friends are getting (and are going to be playing multiplayer), are you really going to buy a year old DLC by sacrificing other purchases?

Especially with so much fucking coming out this quarter, by common fucking sense, please don't tell me that this DLC wasn't too late?

I'm not arguing about quality, or how much it deserves to be sold, but do you really think it's going to do that great? Do you really think it's so strange that the poster you replied to said that he doesn't care anymore about GTA IV? Do you see anybody talking about GTA IV anymore in this forum, excluding this thread?
