As for gaming, many publishers are already making more money from Apple App Store games than they are they are from the DS or PSP. I am sure this will only expand with the addition of the iPad.

Has there been any news on the 3d hardware in the iPad? i saw the screen was 4x the resolution of the ipod, but saw nothing about the graphics hardware.

THat's because all you need for a game to be popular on the iphone is a simulation of throwing a piece of paper into a trashcan.

Just as how it's always been, an environment like that is going to become clogged very easily. In such cases,  games that are actually worth playing are going to be few and far between.

Actually, throwing a piece of paper for me makes more sense to call it game than watching those hours of cut-scenes and computer animation which modern "true games" became :P

Shouldn't we declare HD-twins gaming somehow clogged too?

Seems like you're far too concerned about the HD systems for someone who throws paper into a bucket for fun.

EDIT: also, the difference between my example and yours is that mine is accurate and yours is a reflection of a very small portion of console games.
