Mechanical Engineering, and I thank god I pick that over Electrical or Aerospace Engineering. For those who might want that, just know you'll end up having no life while you're in school.

Im a senior in Highschool and know Im going into the engineering field but have no idea which major i want. I still have like at most 2 years to choose but its good to be prepared. What kind of classes do you take for Mechanical engineering?

Hmm, course requirements probably vary from school to school but you have to understand all of the basic mechanics (obviously- forces, energy) which leads to dynamics and thermodynamics, fluid mechanics. Then, the other part is understanding materials, metallurgy, etc. And then you really have to know to use CAD programs. If you plan on working in say a manufacturing environment as an ME, then you have to design parts, update them, or make sure it works properly in some final product your company wants to build. For instance, the Xbox360's RRoD has got to be the fault of the MEs over at MS- either that or its the EE but the MEs were suppose to make sure it functions properly when they designed the damn thing.
