Considering that each Elder Scrolls covers a smaller geographic area than the last (oh but supposedly more detailed), I am expecting that one version of the Elder Scroll series is going to be reduced to a broom closet. It will be critically hailed as the best broom closet ever seen in a game though.

In regards to Elder Scrolls, anyone know what can be rendered that was smaller than the geographic area seen in Fallout 3, that would be interesting enough?

Oblivion was bigger than Morrowind.

16 square miles, to Morrowind's 10.

But Elder Scrolls 2 had over 62 000 square miles. Oblivion and Morrowind are tiny minigames compared to ES1 and ES2.

Both Arena and Daggerfall were completely randomised, while Morrowind and Oblivion were manually designed.

Yes, so Elder Scrolls went the handcrafted route.  And it got smaller, and supposedly more focused.  And then, I would like to bring in Fallout 3 into the discussion here also and ask how big that was.

I was semijoking about the shrinking in size, because Morrowind really was smaller than what was done in the past.
