Maybe, like, finding clues?
like you find (bad example) a pikmin adn, and you'll also
eventually have the ability to go to the normal pikmin planet to investigate and you'll find (another bad example) a used to be living being from there, and pikmin adn from there, and idols and randmon stuff, and a rock dairy that relates what happened.... and other stuff, and if you don't end the investigation in 300 days, the toxin will be so strong and you won't finish and hotcotate will keep polluting (think about it there are even tyaras, bottle caps and batteries in the pikmin planet)
