Me too. In MW2 I kept wishing he would get shot in the throat and continue the campaign with him silent.

Too bad you had to wait till you finally played as him before Infinity Ward made him shut up which I found to be weird. Not giving Soap any dialog or anything worked in COD4 because you never saw what he looked like and he never had any speaking roles prior. In Modern Warfare 2, you get to see and hear him and this chatty guy suddenly goes silent when you finally return to playing as him. I think it was further compounded that he's on a mission with Price so why wasn't he communicating?
