"Tose isn't a studio known for big budgets, or even midline budgets. In fact their only other Wii games are the D3 Simple Series, they usually develop DS games and PSP ports. "

"aren't known for"=/="they've never done one". Capcom has actually stated the game cost nearly as much as an original game. Unless you have actual proof the game cost little, not just supposition, it's your word against theirs.

"The conversion was janky, unpotimized and rushed... Capcom really could've done better."

I agree on the middle one, but if it was "janky", it would have poor performance and controls. It doesn't have stellar ranks in either, but not janky. As for rushed, unless you have some word on the development time, it's still just your word. They even delayed the game, or have you forgotten.

Note I'm not stating this excuses the game's problems (and I do say another Dead Rising made for the Wii would turn out better), just that those assumptions are factually wrong.

"an original game" =/= "big/mid size budget"

Unless you've seen some specific numbers yourself?  The art/design was done by Tose China btw (just credit checked), so even cheaper than the usual Japanese conversion probably.  And given how far the game actually was when announced, it was most likely in development under a year.
