Are you kidding me? Rare basically saved N64 back in the day, and 3rd party support made Playstation what it is today. And normally 3rd party software also accounts for the biggest part of a consoles software sales.

And what is a $199 Wii going to do against a $199 360, both with motion control support. Wii will be seriously overpriced.

So basically it's the other way around. It isn't that Nintendo doesn't need third parties, it's all they have is 1st party.

ok 1. Nintendo 1st parties saved nintendo. Rare just helped them. Agree with the playstation part.
2. if the 360 is $200 is didn't even dent the wii's sales. The motion controls will have to be bundled of its not doing anytihng.
Also how many  people always buy the console that's the troungest hm?
