And it was only last generation we even got the first games that came close to having all the characters (and they were still missing some of them). Also, there's multiple different series besides just 'Dragon Ball Z'. There's also a whole series of games devoted to the series before what we know as 'Dragon Ball Z' in the west. However, in Japan, the entire show is just known as Dragon Ball.
