Why wouldn't Microsoft want to release "Xbox 720" one year before the PS4?

I agree.

I don't think MS will risk the market loss. They want to make a profit for sure, but at the same time game and sales wise there seemed to be good advantage of releasing a year ahead of the PS3. I'm sure they'll do the same come PS4.
