I just read up on Datel... I just have to say they are basically crooks. It seems like a lot of the stuff they make for consoles are used fro hacking and piracy.

I am glad that Microsoft had the opportunity to block them out. I am sure that if they could Sony and Nintendo would do the same in a heartbeat 

datel also makes generic memory cards. They also blocked madcatz (lol, do they still exist?) and every other company that wants to make cheap memory cards. If they were trying to block hacking tools, then I'm fine with it, but they didn't block any hacking tools, they just blocked memory cards

From the article that I am reading the only company that makes storage systems for the Xbox are Datel. Which can be used to download saves off the internet for most of the 360 games. Which violates Microsoft's terms of use.

I am sure most people don't do this, but I can see why Microsoft chose to block them
