Suspension of disbelief is necessary for these kinds of things, otherwise you won't be able to enjoy them fully.
Bakuman is pretty cool, I still feel like it's been kind of slow lately though. Seems like things will be moving again soon though.
Air Gear, ugh, I loved the first 100 chapters of it, but it's so weird after that. I just read it to keep up with it, but it feels like Bleach felt for me for a while, a waste of time. Still, I have hope that it can be good again.
I'm seriously amazed with One Piece. How is each and every chapter so awesome lately? and it doesn't let up at all.
My favorite arc in any manga is probably HxH's Greed Island. I've read it so many times now, and I love it each and every time.
