I think the attach rate of one console would top at around 25 if the games were cheap enough. Single player games will lesser hype would benefit the most, thus making the industry more balanced. Taking an wild guess, I'd say games should release at $30 and re-release at $15 for the difference to make up on sales. Of course that's disconsidering extra console sales that could come for it. Consoles would have space to become more expensive too, and profitable right away.

However, for decades the industry released expensive games because the market was so damn small and they need to be sure to make a profit with lesser sales and I don't think that would be easy to change now.
