marketing does no good unless you have a killer ap like wii sports. If wii sports wasn't a great game it wouldn't have mattered how well they marketed it, the wii would have fizzled away. Even great marketing can only guarantee that you get people to try it and perhaps good initial sales, but the word of mouth and killer aps are what creates long term success.
