You can go watch Avatar in the theatre and buy it on dvd for half what it costs to buy MW2. Avatar in the theatres will make more then MW2, then add in dvd and blu ray sales and you can't even compare the 2.
I don't understand how people compare video game sales to movie ticket or dvd sales. Video games 50-60 dollars in United States, and movie tickets range from 3-15 depending where you go and what format you choose to view it in, then another 15-20 for dvd or 15 to 25 for blu ray.
Both make money but its like comparing apples to baseballs
