Thank you, Captain Obvious.
Marketing: "the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large."
Nintendo is successful on the market, because they use the secret science of marketing? Geez!
You might one day even figure it out that the secret weapon of the best Olympic runners is RUNNING FRICKIN FAST!
Or that the secret weapon of modern militaries is SHOOTING THE ENEMY!
Of course they use marketing, but marketing process includes practically everything about being successful in business, from researching the audience, designing the product, and setting its price, to advertising, distributing, and supporting it.
Saying that Nintendo is "better at business, because it has better marketing than Microsoft/Sony", is like saying that "Nintendo is better at business because it is better at business than Microsoft/Sony".
The question is exactly HOW they do it.
