the hype train is way outta control. Titanic? Really?

Did you even read the OP?  The excellent post by Reasonable above?  It's a reference to how you already know the way the story will play out, not an expectation for sales success.

Oh I see, that is a perfect metaphor then. It's not like we know any other historical event where we knew what was going to happen and lots of people died................. that also had a record for highest grossing movie of all time.

So you would rather he use some obscure example that potentially many people know nothing about? Halo Reach is like Hotel Rwanda, yea that sounds a lot better  I think this is called reading too much into a comment. He's drawing parallels between the stories, beyond that your just speculating aka pulling shit out of your ass.

Also some people in this thread need serious reading comprehension, although thats nothing new at vgchartz.

how about Hiroshima, or Vietnam. How about these things we've had called "war"? They draw a far closer parallel and are more well known.

When you draw an analogy to something you use the most popular example. If your talking about a movie where robots take over the world you usually reference Terminator, sure there are others but thats the one most people know and understand. Your making a big deal out of nothing. The most famous story/movie where audiences came in knowing how it was going to end is Titanic hence he made the example.

Just to prove my point you said he should have used Midway as an example, I haven't even heard of it. Why go out of your way to make an obscure example when the most common and well known one is sitting in front of you. Again like I said your trying to make connections that just don't exist, he made an analogy using a well known movie end of story, hes not trying to say its going to be the biggest game of all time like you keep trying to suggest.
