I personally believe that sony screwed up big on this one. Prior to the 'leaks' and 'announcements' of the PSP:GO, the PSP sales were looking pretty good. However, all that changed when the PSP:GO came along. The GO! was a massive fail based on the price and it brought little more than the PSP-3000 already gave. So from the time of leaks until launch, people stopped buying the PSP but when the GO! failed so miserably, People stopped buying the PSP altogether. The PSP never recovered from the PSP Go! Launch.

What do you think? What would have worked out better for Sony? Would having left the PSP-3000 on its own be better or Would it ultimately have met with its end regardless of the Go!?

It outsold the 360 leaving it in last place for weekly sales 3 weeks after the GO was released.  It just outsold the 360 again this week.  It never used to outsell the 360 before the GO was launched.  Do you have any facts to back up your argument that the GO hurt the PSPs sales or are you just fear mongering?

Awwwww :/ Why are people getting so touchy... As I said... DS had the best holiday in 2009... I'm just comparing the Holiday of the PSP to that... I had a distinct feeling that 2009 was getting better for the PSP based on the 2008-2009 holiday sales. But PSP-3000 and PSP-Go! were a bit close to each other...

I don't understand why people are comparing the X360 with the PSP though... They are completely different platforms targeting a different market share. It's like saying... "Let's not compare Nokia to Samsung sales but say... oh... Well Samsung sold more handheld units that Thuraya SatPhone this year"

Or maybe you missed me point.....pre Go the 360 outsold the PSP.  Post-Go the PSP outsells the 360.  What was your point?  "The PSP sales were hurt by the PSPGo"  Now I just pointed out that its outselling the 360 ever since the Go was releaed.  Your point flawed?  Yes.
