Are people missing entirely what he is saying?

The film Titanic was a story about what happened to the Titanic. We all knew before going to see Titanic how it ended. Halo Reach is a prequel to Halo CE. We all know the outcome, but it's the journey thats interesting. Thats why he has referenced Titanic.

The film Apollo 13 was a story about what happened to the Apollo 13. We all knew before going to see Apollo 13 how it ended. Halo Reach is a prequel to Halo CE. We all know the outcome, but it's the journey thats interesting. Thats why he has referenced Apollo 13.

The film Midway was a story about what happened at Midway. We all knew before going to see Midway how it ended. Halo Reach is a prequel to Halo CE. We all know the outcome, but it's the journey thats interesting. Thats why he has referenced Midway.

SHould I continue?

Look, I'm not saying his analogy is invalid. I'm saying that while formulating that press release, why not use an example that was the highest grossing movie of all time? That is why it is hype.

If you look above, Midway is actually a much better example than Titanic because Midway was the loss of a settlement that culminated in the end of ww2.

Or, if you prefer an end where the good guys are the ones who are attacked first; Pearl Harbor.

Perhaps he just picked one of the highest grossing films of all time as an example because more people would recognise it!  Seems as PR goes it did the job given the debate it stirred up though.
