Thing is, the Wii version only has english dubs wheres PS2 has both Japanese and English dubs. Niche jrpg gamers mostly care about stuff like that. I don't though. In video games and anime for eg., I find jokes told in English to be more funny than jokes told in Japanese. It does make a difference when you know exactly what the voice actor is saying (ie. Jansen's Japanese VA doesn't appear to be as funny to me as Jansen's English VA). And plus when you are trying to juggle watching the animation and reading at the same time, there's more divided attention (this is drivers ed 101/psych 101. The more things you do at the same time, the less effective you are at the individual tasks you are doing) and I find myself missing some things in the animation (because reading the subtitles distracted me a bit) and having to rewind to get a better look at what happened. |
Yeah, NISA's really screwed the pooch by making the LE PS2 only. Real shitty on their part.
