for all the naysayers;
You sound incredibly close minded.
We know almost nothing as far as what exactly Sony is planning.
They could be focusing on 3D in a much larger way than you can possibly imagine for all we know. 3D could come out and work with any tv through some upscaling process as described for the 360..
who knows, but I for one am looking forward to 3D with optimism!
