cool..cool, but 99% of wii games are still garbage. Enjoy your victory!!!

You have to be kidding me...

OT: Congrats Wii!! It isn't too shocking though considering how much software this thing sells.

Congratulations are in order, especially in light of the year headstart for the 360.  With that said, it has to be put into context of what the breakdown is wrt to supporting the industry...a vast majority of the software sales have been 1st party titles, and that's great for Nintendo, but it doesn't support the ecosystem.  The Wii still has a ways to go to replace the 360 in that regard.

Actually the Wii does provide a healthy ecosystem for third parties. The problem has been the 3rd parties. They heavy invested in the HD systems when it was revealed at E3 that the Wii was not going to be HD. Then they were unprepaired for the success of the Wii and did not have games developed or in development for the Wii. Wii sports became a phenomenon and 3rd parties decided that the console was casual and began to develop cheap cash in titles. If third parties really invested in the Wii like they do the HD systems then they'd be very happy with their ROI.

What about the titles that have been top notch?  They have had very little success, and it's been the Rockbands and Lego games to enjoy success...nothing against those genres.  Madworld and No more heroes...not so much.

First Madworld has an art style that would not be enjoyed by all and it has over the top gore and it is short. No more hero's is Suda's highest selling game. It beats Killer 7 which was released on the PS2. The HD consoles have also had games to bomb, Bionic Commando, Fracture, and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. Games fail in the Market place, this is nothing new. However, acting like it is the fault of the console or the consumer makes no sense. Using the failure of a game to justify not investing in a console is not only dumb but stupid. Name another Industry that will willingly neglects over 60 million consumers?

Where did I blame Nintendo?  I pointed out a fact, that you have to look at the SW sales in context of where the bulk has been...you wanna blame developers...go ahead.  With 60 million consoles, and a reduced cost to to develop for, I have no idea why even today, developers/publisher STILL can't make top sellers for the Wii...
