There is... just a very loose that shouldnt be taken into consideration. Supposedly in Alternate reality - NOT THE MAIN CRONO TRIGGER TIME - Crono, Luca, and Marle are killed by Lynx/Fate..which is why they appear as ghost in CC.. which also led to the fall of Gaurdia hence CC being born. |
so there is connection, and sad one, they ruined all the efford put in chron trigger and the characters lifes........ for a shitty sequel

no no no,... Chrono is not a sequel to Crono trigger!...its alternate reality story based off a spinoff..the developers behind CC even admit too CC having plot holes and NOT to considerate it anything but a standalone title.. they even said they hope to develop a TRUE sequel some day.
