Entertainment doesn’t seem keen on the idea of a pre-release Alan Wake demo, perhaps weary of the potential to scare off potential consumers by the game’s use of darkness, helicopters or combination of both.
Speaking this afternoon during a Remedy-sponsored live chat, studio CFO Mika Reini almost-kind-of ruled out the possibility of an early demo. “Demo before launch,” Reini wrote, “most likely not.”
We’ve decided to contact Nolan North for absolute confirmation. Chances are if there is a demo, dude is going to narrate it or something. And no -- this joke will never get old. I won’t allow it. Ever.
