Problem there is the Wii is selling by far more NINTENDO games in Japan of late than PS3. FFXIII is really the only game currently keeping the PS3 "afloat" in Japan right now. Sooner or later something has to give. A console that is selling very little software cannot keep pace with a console that consistanty sells tons of software, especially when a giant like NSMB Wii is now unleashed. You could argue that the Blu ray player is a major selling point that will keep the PS3 going, but it's only a secondary feature, which cannot keep it going on its own.
We'll have to see what happens over the next few months as the software scale is starting to lean back towards PS3 in quality releases, but that doesn't necessarilly mean they will all sell well.

Not the market's fault that Nintendo games are by far the ones most worth buying on consoles these days. 3rd parties slept on Wii's initial years when they should've been marketing building (as they did day one on PS2), now they'll have to live with the consequences.
