I heard all this 10 years ago. On the various RPG boards. Ohh no the industry is fine. WotC is doing great. White Wolf is doing great. X company is doing great.
Yet year by year RPG industry has faded into obscurity. There is no garuntee that the VG industry will rise from it's fall. It just might continue on lifeless until there are not enough consumers.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
