Sony will no longer be trusting its PlayStation ad campaign to TWBA/Chiat/Day, who had handled those duties for the company since 1994.

The agency created a number of award-winning ads for Sony over the past 13 years, including the memorable "U R Not e" (You are not ready) campaign for the launch of the original PlayStation. TWBA's most recent efforts included the onyx TV ads that featured a rapidly-morphing PS3.

TWBA was one of five finalists contending for the PlayStation advertising account, which now appears to be between the Publicis and Deutsch agencies.
